Dr. Tom Mims has been in practice since he graduated from Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1975. Dr. Mims moved his practice from Young Harris, Georgia to Murphy, North Carolina in 1988. Dr. Mims’ goal is to improve every patients dental health in a meaningful way in an environment that is friendly and enjoyable. Dr. Mims is especially gratified to be in the practice of general dentistry because of the wide variety of services he is able to provide for his patients needs.

Over the years Dr. Mims’ interests have included leadership positions with a local Boy Scout Troop, camping, horseback riding, boating, swimming, snow skiing and more recently, flight lessons.

Dr. Mims has four children – Robiyn, Matthew, Bryan, and Shawn.
